A Bed to Call Their Own
For many of us, going to bed at night is something we rarely think about. We have a mattress, clean sheets, a blanket, and a safe, comfortable place to sleep.
For the children at Bridge Point Haven, that has not always been the case. At times, several children have had to share sleeping spaces, while some of the mattresses and bedding had become old and worn.
Through the support of Spirit-Africa, Bridge Point Haven has been able to provide new beds, mattresses, and bedding for the children.
This may seem like a simple thing, but a proper bed makes a real difference. It gives a child a clean, comfortable place to sleep and the opportunity to get the rest they need to be ready for school and the activities of the day.
A bed is more than furniture. It provides comfort, dignity, and a sense that a child's basic needs matter.
