Before we received the water tank, getting water for the children was a daily struggle.

We depended on the public trench, and sometimes water would not be available when we needed it. When we managed to get water,it could not take us a week. With many children in the home, this took a lot of time and made it difficult to always have enough safe drinking water ready.

There were times when a child would ask for water because they were thirsty, and I would have to tell them to wait. As a caregiver, those moments were difficult for me. I knew they needed something as basic as water, but sometimes there was simply no water ready.

When the water tank came, it changed our daily routine.

We can now collect and store water instead of depending completely on whether water is coming at that particular moment. We have water available for the children's daily needs, and it has made things much easier for us.

What touched me most was seeing the children themselves. They don't talk about the tank the way an adult would. For them, it is simply having water when they are thirsty. But as the person caring for them, I understand what that means.

I remember the days when we struggled to have enough water. Now I look at the tank and know that one of those daily worries has been reduced.
